FUNimation 2012 Customer Survey

I have to give to FUNimation. To my knowledge, they’re the only distributor that aggressively seeks input from the fandom via surveys like this.
So… Fill it Out.

Toy Story 3 Screenwriter to pen Star Wars Episode VII

If anyone needed any more proof that a new Star Wars film is in pre-production, here it is: Michael Arndt, who has screenwriting credentials with the films Little Miss Sunshine and Toy Story 3, has begun story conferences with George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy for Star Wars Episode VII, due for release in 2015.

Arndt has screenwriting credits in the upcoming films The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Oblivion, both 2013 releases.

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood) TV, Episode 2 Screencaps

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Opening Sequence included

The OP animates several scenes from the original manga, using a lot of cell shading to give it an animated, quasi 3D look and feel.
However, it gives the characters a feel that’s kind of  “Uncanny Valley”-ish.

Episode 2: “A Letter From the Past”

Artwork seemed a tad too angular, especially when compared to the previous episode and the next. I guess that is to be expected, since this is the first episode with the regular character designs.

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood) airs Saturday’s at 12:30AM on TokyoMX.

Ben Kingsley will star as The Mandarin, Stark’s archenemy from the comics, although he has been referenced in the first film, via his terrorist organization, “The Ten Rings”.
